Die fein herb duftenden Weihrauch Räucherkerzen von "FIMIAM", auch Ladan genannt, sind traditionelles russisch-orthodoxes Räucherwerk und enthalten ausschließlich natürliche Inhaltsstoffe.

Als Basis dient Aktivkohle aus russischer Birke sowie Weihrauch. Zum einzigartigen Räuchererlebnis kommt es, wenn sich dazu entsprechende Harze und Aromen verbinden.

Ladan findet nicht nur in orthodoxen Kirchen regelmäßig Anwendung, sondern wird auch in vielen urtümlichen slawischen Riten und Ritualen verwendet.

Die Tradition des Räucherns mit Räucherkerzen stammt schon aus der Zeit der russischen Antike. Die ersten überlieferten Erwähnungen beziehen sich auf Klosterchroniken des späten 15. und frühen 16. Jahrhunderts.

Dank der leichten Anwendung und des wieder erkennbaren Duftes, fand diese Räuchertradition seit Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts auch mehr und mehr im Alltag Anwendung.

Folgende Anwendung dieser Räucherkerzen wird empfohlen:

Zünde die Räucherstäbchen am Anfang der Kohle an. Ideal eignet sich dafür eine Kerze oder ein Feuerzeug.
Lass sie kurz brennen und blasen dann die Flamme aus.
Achte auf die Spitze des Weihrauchs – sie sollte rot sein – genauso wie glimmende Kohlen im Grill.
Stecke den Stick in den mitgelieferten speziellen Ständer. Dort sollte er schwelen.
Lasse die Räucherstäbchen nicht unbeaufsichtigt und stelle sie nicht auf eine brennbare Oberfläche.
Lüfte nach dem Abbrennen des Sticks immer den Raum.
Noch besser ist es, wenn das Fenster während des Brennens leicht angelehnt ist: Das Aroma bleibt erhalten und überschüssiger Rauch verschwindet.
