Fast ein Jahr nach CD/TAPE-Release konnte nun die aufwendige Vinyl-Version fertig gestellt werden.

OtSK Records präsentiert nun Stolz die Vinyl Version der hoffnungsvollen und großartigen One-Man Neofolk Band aus dem sagenumwobenen Oberschlesischen Bergbaugebiet rund um Katowice (PL).

Erstes “full-length” Album der Band und Fünftes Release auf auf OtSK Records.

"All Those Tears ago"...der Soundtrack für die taumelnden Welt am Vorabend des Niedergangs einer dekadenten Epoche.

Wir leben am Rande einer irritierenden Übergangszeit. Nach Dekadenz folgt Zerfall. Noch stehen wir am Anfang. Ein disharmonisches Wechselspiel, zwischen lähmender Ohnmacht und hoffnungsvollem Kampf.

Zeitszenen, Sequenzen und Tendenzen im dumpfen Moll Ton des langsamen Zerfalls.

GRAVE of LOVE greifen die Thematik auf und mit ihrem brandneuen Album "All Those Tears ago", gelingt eine musikalische Skizze dieser bedrohlichen Dramaturgie des Niedergangs.

GRAVE of LOVE Sound kommt dabei vielschichtig; experimentierfreudiger und kräftiger als in dieser Spielart zu erwarten wäre.

Die Zeiten werden härter, mit ihnen die Töne. Mit frischer Kraft und neuer Virtuosität geht es gegen Verfall und Dämmerung.

Es gibt starke Effekte mit kursiven Passagen.. Im Wechselspiel Akustik Gitarre, schroffe Riffs, verzerrte Bassläufe.

Klarer Gesang, versöhnlich bis mahnend, anklagend...wie der Prediger vom heiligen Berg.

Dazwischen Windspiel und ausgefeilte Percussions, bedrohliche Soundscapes oder Samples. Im Kontrast beleben klar das harmonische Pianospiel sowie füllig-warme, aber kämpferisch-dynamische Horn-Passagen.

Unterschwellig begleitet der Rhythmus des Schlagwerks die Aussichtslosigkeit dieser ausklingenden Epoche.

Mit dem Signal zur ästhetischen Mobilmachung - auf der Suche nach Europa - reihen wir uns ein, in den hoffnungslosen langen Marsch der Einsamen.

Immer weiter, immer weiter...noch bleibt das Ende offen nur die Welt wirft einen verächtlichen Blick.

Ein stimmiges, rundes Album, das wie ein Kreis in sich selbst zurückfließt sowie Erneuerung, Wiederholung und Regeneration ermöglicht.

Es wird wohl schwer werden diesem Album aus dem Wege zugehen...nicht nur 2021.

Coverartwork und Gestaltung:

OtSK legt auch bei dieser Produktion die Messlatte für den gestalterischen Stellenwert sehr hoch. Aufwendige Ausstattung in ästhetisch-anspruchsvoller und programmatischer Form veredelt Tonträger und Sound, lässt beides zu einer Einheit werden.

Eigens für dieses Release wurde ein besonderes Coverkonzept entwickelt. Als Vorlage diente der Entwurf "LEBENSZYKLUS" von :FX:

Schon der erste Eindruck verrät die Idee von Vergängnis und Wiederkehr. Als Ergebnis, ein verblühender Löwenzahn, der seinen Pollen auswirft und verstreuen lässt. Die Wurzel gespeist durch einen verwesenden Totenschädel.

Der "Taraxacum Officinale" deutet auf den ewigen Zyklus: Sterben, Werden, Loslassen, Neubeginn, Anfang, Ende...Die welkende Blume versprüht ihren Samen um Neues entstehen zu lassen. Ihr Niedergang bedeutet Leben.

Die talentierte russische Untergrund Künstlerin LOXOLOMIA SERPENTINA vollendet die weitere gestalterische Umsetzung, mit ihrem einzigartigen Stil.

Die spezielle Kohle Zeichnung auf strukturiertem Papier ist wenig kontrastreich, hell-gräulich bis schwarz - trotzdem sehr aussagend.

Weitere Details, wie Bandfoto, Logo, Infos und Texte wurden passend integriert.

Jedem Tonträger Format liegt ein Faltbooklet mit den Texten der Stück bei

Im regen Austausch, im Gespräch mit Toten, zieren treffende Zitate von YUKIO MISHIMA, PAUL CELAN und JEAN GENET die verschiedenen Cover.

Konzeptionelle Vorbereitungen zum Projekt liefen über ein Jahr. Neben den üblichen produktionstechnischen Abläufen im Presswerk, erfolgte anschließend die Veredelung mit spezieller Drucktechnik sowie die manuelle Konfektionierung. Einige Arbeitsschritte konnten nur in Handarbeit ausgeführt werden. Darunter zählen Siebdruck oder Pflanzen sammeln und pressen, Handnummerierung zuschneiden usw.

"All Those Tears Ago"... the soundtrack for the tumbling world on the eve of the decline of a decadent era.

We live on the edge of an irritating changing period. After decadence comes decay. We are still at the beginning. A disharmonious interplay between paralyzing powerlessness and hopeful struggle. Time scenes, sequences and tendencies in the dull minor tone of slow decay.

GRAVE of LOVE takes up the topic and with the brand new album "All Those Tears Ago", reveals a musical sketch of this threatening dramaturgy of decline.

GRAVE of LOVE sound is multi-layered NEOFOLK; more wolfish, untamed and powerful than would be expected in this genre.

Times are getting harder and with them the tones. With fresh strength and new virtuosity it goes against unstoppable decay and twilight.

There are strong effects with cursive passages - in the interplay of acoustic guitar, rough riffs, and distorted bass lines.

Chant is clear, from forgiving to admonishing, accusing ... like the preacher from the holy mountain.

In between windchimes and sophisticated percussions, threatening soundscapes or samples. In contrast, there is the harmonic piano playing as well as full-warm, but combative-dynamic horn passages. Subliminally, the rhythm of the percussion accompanies the hopelessness of this fading epoch.

With the signal for aesthetic mobilization - we went looking for Europe - in the long hopeless march of the lonely.

On and on, on and on... the end still remains open but the world will chase us.

A coherent, round album, like a circle, flowing back into itself as well as enabling renewal, repetition, and regeneration.

It's going to be hard to get out of the way of this album...

Cover artwork and design:

OtSK also sets the bar very high for the design value of this production. Elaborate decor and layout in an aesthetically demanding and programmatic form refines the records and sound, allowing both to become a unit.

A special cover concept was developed especially for this release. The "LEBENSZYKLUS" (life cycle) design by :FX: worked as basis.

Even the first impression reveals the idea of passing and returning. As a result, a withering dandelion that throws out its pollen grains and lets them scatter. The root is fed by a decaying skull.

The "Taraxacum Officinale" indicates the eternal cycle: dying, becoming, being forsaken, a new start, the beginning, the end...

The wilting flower sprays its seeds to create something new. Their decline means life.

The talented Russian underground artist LOXOLOMIA SERPENTINA completes further creative implementation with her unique style.

The special charcoal drawing on structured paper is not rich in contrast, light grayish to black - but expressive.

Further details such as the band photo, logo, information and texts have been appropriately integrated.

A folding booklet with the texts of the pieces is enclosed with each record format.

In reciprocity, in conversation with the dead, apt quotes from YUKIO MISHIMA, PAUL CELAN und JEAN GENET adorn the various covers.

Conceptual preparation for the project took more than one year. In addition to the usual production processes in the records companies, completion was then carried out using special printings and manual finishing assembly. Some working steps could only be carried out by hand. These include screen printing or collecting and pressing plants, hand numbering, cutting etc.
