Großartige Neofolk Compilation mit internationaler Beteiligung und 5 exklusiven Stücke. Die neunte Veröffentlichung auf ONLY the SUN KNOWS Records von 2025.

Die Produktion ist eine erweiterte Fortsetzung der LEGER des HEILS Alben Flammenlieder I + II.

Drei Songs wurden in den Jahren 2023 und 2024 exklusiv nur für diesen Sampler arrangiert und eingespielt, zwei weitere Stücke gab es in anderen Versionen. Der AIN SOPH Track wurde 2021 bei einem Liveauftritt in Wien aufgenommen, das Stück von STORMFÅGEL, das 2014 ursprünglich nur digital veröffentlicht wurde, erhielt eine Neuaufnahme und ein neues Mixing.

Anschließend wurden die Songs für diese Zusammenstellung in unterschiedlichen europäischen Studios abgemischt und für Vinyl und CD in der vorliegenden Reihenfolge gemastert.

Folgende Künstler sind auf der Compilation vertreten:

A magnificent NeoFolk compilation with international artists and five exclusive tracks. The ninth release on ONLY the SUN KNOWS Records in 2025.

The production is an extended continuation of the LEGER des HEILS albums Flammenlieder I + II.

Three songs were arranged and recorded exclusively for this compilation in 2023 and 2024, while two other tracks were included in different versions. The AIN SOPH track was recorded during a live performance in Vienna in 2021, and the STORMFÅGEL song, which was originally released only digitally in 2014, was re-recorded and remixed for this compilation.

The songs for this compilation were then mixed in various European studios and mastered for vinyl and CD production in the order presented here.

DER ARBEITER

...liefert mit seinem vierminütigen, akkuraten und klaren Instrumental einen perfekten Auftakt. Bei diesem Stück werden klassische NeoFolk-Arrangements mit akustischen Instrumenten sowie kalten Synthie-Pads und elektronischen Beats zu einem harmonischen Soundteppich verknüpft. Das Soloprojekt des chilenischen Architekten und Musikers Juan A. hat sich aus gutem Grund bereits in der Vergangenheit durch seinen einzigartigen Stil einen Namen gemacht.

STORMFÅGEL

...präsentieren einen 6-minütigen, kraftvollen Song, der von einer hoffnungsvollen und eingängigen Melodie geprägt ist und sofort im Ohr hängen bleibt. Die Schweden kombinieren NeoFolk mit verschiedenen ethnischen und klassischen Einflüssen, was zu einem ganz besonderen Klangerlebnis führt.

LEGER des HEILS

...als Initiator der Zusammenstellung, vertont hier eine echte NeoFolk Hymne, die sofort zum Mitsingen einlädt. Stimmungsvolle, treibende Arrangements mit traditionellen Instrumenten, flächigem Hintergrundsound und treffendem deutschen Text verleihen dem Stück einen fast weihevollen Charakter.

...aus Budapest haben mit ihrem über elfminütigen, orchestralen Werk ein echtes Meisterstück geschaffen. Eigens für dieses Release wurde ein besonderes Coverkonzept entwickelt. Als Vorlage diente der Entwurf "FACKEL", der in unterschiedlichen Motiven verwendet wurde und als Symbolik Bedeutung im mystisch-spirituelle Sinn findet.

Die Frontseite wurde mit dem FLAMMENLIEDER - "FACKEL" Logo veredelt. Klassischer Siebdruck in "Schwarz" "Silber" "Karminrot" auf "Schwarz"

A special cover concept was developed specifically for this release. "FACKEL" design served as a template and was used in various motifs and has symbolic significance in a mystical-spiritual sense.

The front was finished with the FLAMMENLIEDER - "FACKEL" logo. Classic screen printing in "black" "silver" and "carmine red" on "black"

Prometheus und die flammende Fackel

In der griechischen Mythologie erschafft Prometheus die ersten Menschen aus Lehm und belebt sie mit Feuer, das er von den Göttern stiehlt. Dieses Feuer symbolisiert Wissen, Zivilisation und Kreativität. Prometheus' Tat ist jedoch auch eine Rebellion gegen die Götter, weshalb er dafür bestraft wird. Prometheus' Diebstahl des Feuers symbolisiert somit sowohl den Wunsch nach Wissen und Fortschritt als auch die Konsequenzen, die mit dem Überschreiten von Grenzen verbunden sind.

Prometheus and the flaming torch

In Greek mythology, Prometheus creates the first humans from clay and brings them to life with fire that he steals from the gods. This fire symbolizes knowledge, civilization, and creativity. However, Prometheus' act is also a rebellion against the gods, for which he is punished. Prometheus' theft of fire thus symbolizes both the desire for knowledge and progress and the consequences of crossing boundaries.

Die Bedeutung der flammenden Fackel hat sich von der Antike über das Mittelalter bis in die Neuzeit hinweg als konstant erwiesen. Sie erscheint in einer Vielzahl von Zeremonien und Riten, wo sie als kultisches Symbol oder Erkennungszeichen fungiert.

Torch as a cult symbol

The significance of the flaming torch has remained constant from ancient times through the middle ages to the modern era. It appears in a variety of ceremonies and rites, where it functions as a cult symbol or sign of recognition.

The torch plays a central role as the last guard at the deathbed. It is carried during nighttime funeral processions or ancient triumphal processions to light the way and at the same time to show honor. Its glowing presence signals both mourning and respect.
